Painting of Doc
An artful portrayal by a young artist who has journeyed through surgery, recovery, and now enjoys good health. The painting teems with life, and even features 'Doc' (Dr. Boldsaikhan) at the center, among a lively collection of creatures and elements. A dapper sheep adds to the charm of this delightful scene.
Reaching the Heart of the Taiga: Dr. Boldsaikhan's Expedition to the Rainbow Village
In the fall of 2019, Dr. Boldsaikhan embarked on an expansive expedition to remote Taiga villages, providing vital check-ups for residents, even navigating horseback crossings. The journey's impact was profound, exemplified by Mrs. Buyandelger's return and the subsequent transformation in the perception of healthcare among the Tsaatan community. Amid these heartwarming encounters, a 62-year-old woman from West Taiga underwent successful heart surgery, while two Tsaatan youngsters received essential treatment sponsored by Dr. Boldsaikhan's classmate, Battsengel.
Dr. Bundan
Dr. Bundan's name, meaning 'Heart,' takes on profound significance as he leaves an indelible mark in Mongolian medicine, earning the title of 'THE heart specialist.' His legacy is perpetuated by his son, Boldsaikhan, an accomplished heart surgeon known not only for his skills but also for his diverse contributions to society. While his reserved demeanour may hint at distance, those close to him recognize the depth of his character and the profound responsibility he bears in caring for our most fragile hearts.
Heart Remembers
Dr. Boldsaikhan's 'Heart Remembers' project, initiated in May 2020, emerged as a response to the scarcity of pediatric heart surgeries following his departure from the 3rd State Central Hospital in 2011. This transformative endeavor sought to address the gap, focusing on rural regions in Khuvsgul province, where children with heart defects could receive diagnosis and life-saving surgeries, bridging the divide between urban and rural healthcare access.
