Professor Lee: A Stalwart in Cardiology and an Adventurer for Good Causes

Professor Lee, a longtime friend and a revered figure from the National University of Singapore, has embraced a new challenge by joining the Beyondthelimits trips with the Bundan NGO. His remarkable journey in the field of cardiology extends beyond the walls of academia, as he has served as the Chair of the Asian Heart Foundation for many years and continues to contribute selflessly to this organization to this day.

Professor Lee is no stranger to Mongolian patients, earning their trust and becoming a cherished friend within Mongolia's cardiology community. As the founder of the Department of Cardiac, Thoracic & Vascular Surgery at the National University of Singapore (NUS), his legacy is accentuated by a rich history of leadership and service. He has held diverse roles, including multiple terms as President of the Cardiac Society, President of the International Chinese Heart Health Network, Council member of the Asian Federation of Cardiology, Vice Chairman of the Singapore Heart Association, Chairman of the Specialist Training Committee for Cardiothoracic Surgery, and a Founding Executive Council Member of the Asian Society for Cardiovascular Surgery since 1993. His illustrious journey culminated in his presidency of the Asian Society for Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery (ASCVTS) in 2009.
